Kirk Whitener is a part of our Client Services team. He joined Gray, Blodgett, and Company, PLLC in 2025 and has over 40 years of accounting experience including 10 years in public accounting and over 30 years in private industry.

Kirk was a senior audit manager for KPMG and BKD in Oklahoma City. He served privately held clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, and not-for-profit sectors.

In private industry, Kirk was a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT) of Norman for 19 years. Before and after his time with WDT, Kirk was also a senior financial officer for other manufacturing and construction companies for 15 years. Kirk was responsible for financial reporting, forecasting/budgeting, cost management, investor and banking relations, private equity transactions, employee benefit plan management, external audit management and strategic planning.

Kirk earned his Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma. Kirk is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Oklahoma, and a Certified Management Accountant.
